Blog 2: Week 8 Tech Tools

During week eight of my Introduction Educational Technology class, we went over several interesting topics ranging from worldle, bubbl, gliffy and more which all fell under the category of Tech tool for critical thinking. With Wordle students were able to create a word picture of an article or writing, and the most important words of the article will be highlighted in the wordle. By just glimpsing at the wordle you will be able to figure out what the main topic or a particular writing was. With bubbl and gliffy, students were able to easily create stem graphs, timeliness or connect charts, where the can link different topics together. The interesting fact about these were that you are able to do them on the internet so they can be easily shared with friends or business works, to be easily updated and added on to.

This weeks information seems to have some relevance to what I will be doing in the future. With Wordle its give you a picture of words so you can definitely use this to your advantage and advertise the good about a company, which is form of public relations. If there is an article which talks good about the company, why not wordle and put in on the company website or billboard to even further the companies good name. With Bubbl I really do love the aspect of its sharing capabilities, since sometimes in business people work in different time zones and this is a very efficient way the get business done, instead of attaching email then editing it then resending it, bubbl and other tools like it makes things easier since all this will be done on internet and no attachment necessary.

This week I was really impressed with the Wordle tool. It is so simple and can be easily done, and yet could be so effective. As i mentioned before this can be a great tool for public relations of a company, and the can broad cast the good about their company with just a simple Wordle. Here is a video which give you an easy tutorial of how to operate wordle.
